Find a Condo on South Padre Island for Sale or Rent  There is one main industry on the island, tourism, and hotels and condos are an essential part of any successful vacation resort destination. On South Padre Island condos take the lions share of vacation accommodations in both rentals and second homes. If you have ever vacationed in a nice ocean view condominium before than you will know the difference in quality they can offer over a typical hotel. Furcron Realtors and Property Management have been selling and renting condos and homes for over twenty years. How much are South Padre Condos Renting For? 
The price for condo rentals vary according to location, condition, views, and amenities and most of all the season. Typically the peak season starts in March with Spring break and goes until the end of summer on Labor Day. A two bedroom two bath beachfront condo overlooking the beach will run about $300 per day or $1800 per week during peak season to around $200 per night or $1000 per week during off season. One bedroom beachfront condos will usually run around $210 per day at peak and $125 during off season. Three bedroom units are rare and go for around $375 per day to $230 respectively.
These prices are an average for nice condos that are well appointed; lavishly decorated luxury units are considerably more. Condos that are in mediocre condition and modestly decorated and condos that are located a few blocks from the beach will be less. Perhaps the best way to find what is available would be to browse out rental site. Condo Rentals on South Padre Island by Furcron Property Management How much are South Padre Island Condos Selling For? 
Beachfront property is the most desired by investors in all price ranges. It seems to provide the greatest appreciation and the highest levels of rental income. There are a few one bedroom beachfront units, and they range in price from $175,000 to $350,000. The bulk of the beachfront units are two bedroom condos, and these range from $325,000 to $600,000, depending on location, amenities, age and condition. Three bedroom units range from $390,000 to $800,000. Four bedroom units are scarce and priced accordingly. Beachfront townhomes go from $700,000 to $1 million, and most single-family homes on the beach are over well over $1.5 million.
If you get off the beach a little, prices drop considerably. There are one bedroom condos off the beach" that are priced from $90,000 to $175,000. Two bedroom condos "off the beach" are priced from $125,000 to $325,000. Three bedroom units are scarce and usually run from $300,000 to $450,000. Interior townhouses are $250,000 to $600,000, and single family homes range from $350,000 to $800,000. Again, prices vary based on exact location, views, age and condition. Waterfront homes and condos on the bay are priced similarly to their beachfront counterparts, and these typically have boat docks and fishing piers. There are also homes and townhomes on the channels that provide access to the bay, and these vary in price from $350,000 to the millions of dollars. |
